A.      Activities in 1997-1998

1.      This year we have the following statistics on the number of papers appeared in the 
IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems:

2.      This year, Prof. J. Vlach, Prof. Adrian Ioinovici, and Prof. L. Martinez organized 
a special issue on Simulation, Theory and Design of Switched-Analog Networks in the 
IEEE Transaction on Circuits and Systems - Part I, vol. 44, no. 8, August 1997.

3.      Dr. Henry Chung has organized a special session on Modeling, Design, and 
Analysis of Switching-Mode Converters at ISCAS 98, Monterey, May 31 - June 3, 1998.

4.      We participated in the paper review process of the Transactions papers.

5.      We cooperated with IEEE HK Chapter of CAS/COM to organize three seminars. 


B.      Plans for 1998-1999:

1.      The next annual meeting of the technical committee is scheduled on Tuesday, June 
1, 1998 during lunch break at ISCAS 98, in Monterey.

2.      Separate special session on power system and power electronics can be organized 
in ISCAS 99.

3.      The future directions, which are the major issue, will be identified.

4.      A WWW page is under construction and will be linked to the CAS Society home 
page.
