Sensor Array and Multichannel (SAM) TC, NSF, DARPA mentioned as possible co-sponsors. June/July 2003 date discussed. Issues raised: How specialized would it be? How strong would the networking component be? Should there be two-page summaries, four-page full papers, or both? Other issues: Is the workshop competing with MMSP? Co-organization with Europe? (3) Report on awards (Phil Chou) Presented and discussed results of paper nomination voting; Other issues discussed: 3 year eligibility limit; impact of nominated papers; citations; self-nominations, nomination rules; TC members whose papers are voted on do not vote; 3 or 4 way tie resolution clarification; (4) ICIP and ICASSP Reviewer lists: Pappas brought up issue of ownership of the ICIP and ICASSP reviewer lists and discussed need for explicit requirement that the conference management companies deliver the updated lists to the society in a standard format that contains all the necessary information (names, affiliations, emails, phone numbers, etc.). (5) Other issues discussed: - ICIP rule for conference registration (one full registration per paper) - Nominations for Distinguished Lecturers needed for next year
