ICIP 2008* - San Diego (Ortega) ICIP 2009* - Brussels (Macq) ICIP 2009* - Alexandria (Karam) + Awards (Hemami) - Discussion of papers at ICIP 2005 TC meeting, this idea and a pre-nomination process were endorsed by the TC. Sheila Hemami will solicit pre-nominations, then nomination letters and after an initial round of voting the finalist will be discussed at the TC meeting at ICIP 2005. + ICASSP Best Student Paper Award (Ortega) - Discussion of proposed procedure: papers to be avaluated based on reviews/ranking from multiple TC members. The TC members involved read the papers and possibly also attend the presentations. Each paper should be evaluated by at least 3 TC members. To make a decision we count the ranking of the paper by each reviewer as points and the papers with fewer points (higher ranking are chosen). + Special sessions (Goyal) - Guidelines, current and/or desirable, for organization of special sessions. There was a discussion on this topic. It was felt that it would be good to provide guidelines so all conferences use a similar process, e.g., all conferences review papers in special sessions. Also, it was not clear to TC members what would be desired topics for these special topics (focused sessions on topics within the scope of the conference vs new emerging topics that cut across disciplines). + New TC on Information Forensics and Security (IFS) (Ortega) - Now that TIFS is about to start, is there support for a TC in this area. There were no objections from those present. + TC Chair/Vice Chair Elections (Ortega) + IMDSP Workshop (Ortega)
