(Subcommittee has already selected a candidate who, at the time of the meeting, had not yet accepted the nomination.) Any member of the TC may nominate another TC member (who agrees to serve). The election will be held in October. (6) IMDSP TC Elections (members) This year we have to elect 5 new members to the TC. Thrasos Pappas discussed the need to secure representation from different research areas, different areas of the world that are active in the IMDSP area, as well as women and minorities. A diverse membership is critical for strengthening our TC and expanding its influence, and of course, necessary for carrying out our activities (ICASSP/ICIP reviews, awards, workshops, etc.). (7) ICASSP review procedure and EDICS The IMDSP TC chair is responsible for coordinating the review of the IMDSP papers for ICASSP, and for putting together the IMDSP sessions. As the number of submissions has been increasing over the years, we discussed ways for reducing the load of the chair. We also discussed the need for updading the ICASSP EDICS.
