Scope
PSOC is concerned with the system engineering treatment of operational
matters in which the dominant factors are safety, physical and
electrical security, environmental impacts, economics and performance
of electric power systems. These are the specific areas
of interest:
- Operation of generation, transmission and distribution systems
- Transmission security assessment for operational purposes
- Application of computer, control and communication methods
and systems as related to power system operation
- Economics specific to power system operation
- Training of operations personnel
- Coordination of these matters with other committees of PES
