Author Conference Registration

An accepted paper will only appear in the conference proceedings if at least one of the authors registers at one of the author rates listed in the following table. This must be carried out on or before the "author registration" deadline shown below. AEECT 2011 also reserves the right to exclude a paper from distribution after the conference (e.g., removal from IEEE Xplore) if the paper is not presented at the conference.

  • The author rates cover registration for one paper and 1 author attendee.
  • An author registration entitles the attendee to receive 1 copy of the Proceedings, 3 Lunch Tickets, 1 Gala Dinner Ticket, and 1 Dead Sea Tour Ticket.
  • Local authors are authors living in Jordan and affiliated with Jordanian organizations.
  • IEEE – Jordan Section authors must be active IEEE – Jordan Section members.
  • For each extra paper, there is an additional registration fee of USD150 per paper. This additional fee applies to the same author that registered at any of the three author rates and does not cover additional attendees.
  • Although not encouraged, authors can have papers longer than 6 pages, but not exceeding 8 pages. Each of the extra two pages costs USD50.

Refund and Cancelation Policy

Author Registration

  • A 50% refund fee applies to all cancelations before the Author Registration deadline of November 6, 2011.
  • There is no cancellation (0% refund) after the Author Registration deadline of November 6, 2011.

All other Registrations, Events, and Items

  • A 50% refund fee applies to all cancelations before December 6, 2011.
  • There is no cancellation (0% refund) on or after December 6, 2011.

Registration Instructions

1. Obtain an EDAS account:

Please obtain a username and password from the on-line submission system EDAS. This can be done in one of two ways:

  • If you have used the EDAS system previously, for this or any other conference, then you already have an account on the system. Thus, there is no need to create a new account. Simply use your existing account. Your username will be your email. If you cannot remember your password then ask EDAS to email it to you by following the link EDAS PASSWORD REMINDER.
  • If you are a new user of the EDAS system then create an new account by following the link NEW EDAS ACCOUNT.

2. Log in to the Registration Site

Go to the Registration Site by following the link:

Log in to the site using your EDAS username (your email) and password.

If you are an author of an accepted paper, then you should log in to your EDAS account and click the "Registration" icon next to your accepted paper.

In both cases, you will be presented with a list of available registration types/events/items that you can select from.

Make your choices by clicking on the "Register" icon next to each of your chosen items. As you click you will notice that your chosen items are listed at the bottom of the page.

3. Make your Payment

Once you have completed the selection of your registration items, then go to the bottom of the page and click on the payment method. There are three payment methods available:

3.1 Credit Card Payment

When you select this type of payment you will be presented with a Credit Card payment form. Please fill in the requested information and click on "Pay for registration".

3.2 Wire Transfer Payment

In order to use this payment method, you need first to make a wire transfer of your payment to the following conference bank account. Your payment should cover the total amount due to cover your registration fees + any fee your back requires + USD10.00 to cover the fee of the bank of the conference account.

If you are living in Jordan, you can directly deposit your payment in the local currency in one of Cairo Amman Bank branches to the account number above. Please indicate that this amount is paid for AEECT 2011 by YOU (put your name). You need to upload a scanned copy of the payment receipt as described below.

When you select this type of payment in EDAS, you will be presented with a Wire Transfer payment form. Please fill in the requested information and click on "Pay for registration by wire". You will then get a confirmation of your registration.

Finally, you need to go again to the AEECT 2011 Registration Site, scroll down to your Paid registrations table, and click on the icon to upload a scanned copy of the evidence/receipt of your wire transfer.

3.3 Money Order Payment

In order to use this payment method, you need first to make a Western Union money order of your payment to the conference Treasurer: Dr. Mohammad H. Salah. Your payment should cover the total amount due to cover your registration fees + any fee Western Union requires.

When you select this type of payment in EDAS, you will be presented with a Money Order payment form. Please fill in the requested information and click on "Pay for registration by money order". You will then get a confirmation of your registration.

Finally, you need to go again to the AEECT 2011 Registration Site, scroll down to your Paid registrations table, and click on the icon to upload a scanned copy of the evidence/receipt of your money order. Make sure that this scanned copy clearly shows the MTCN transfer number.
