The 34th International Carnahan Conference on Security Technology October 22-26, 2000 Ottowa, Canada Our year 2000 conference was held in Ottawa, the capital city of Canada. Ottawa is located about two hours drive west of Montreal and about 5 hours east of Toronto. In additon to being the nation's capital, Ottawa is known as Canada's "silicon valley north", a major international centre of high tech development. Mr. Gerry Levett was the Conference Chairman in Ottawa in 2000. In this role, Gerry was assisted by a very experienced conference organizing committee and he was responsible for the overall program from initial planning through to implementation. 2000 Conference Organizing Committee: Gerry Levett, Canada, G.
