Vancouver is easily accessible by air from around the world. The Vancouver International Airport (YVR) is voted the best airport in North America multiple times. It provides access to over 98 destinations and acts as the premier North American gateway to the Asia-Pacific region. The airport is located 25 minutes south of downtown Vancouver where the Vancouver Convention Centre (VCC) is located. IROS delegates can get to downtown Vancouver from YVR via Canada Line of Vancouver's SkyTrain system, a light rapid transit system for C$9.  For people staying at one of the conference hotels, please get off at Waterfront, the terminal station, and one will be within walking distance to conference hotels.  Alternatively, people could also take a taxi from airport to downtown Vancouver, which would cost about $25 (CAD).

Getting around in Vancouver is convenient as well. In fact, one can reach most places of interest in Vancouver on foot as the city is rated as Canada’s most walkable city. Vancouver also offers reliable, clean, green and efficient public transportation network; its variety of bus companies provide group travel options; and its world-class network of ferries moves people and cars throughout the surrounding region with comfort and ease. TransLink operates over 100 public buses, the SkyTrain, and the SeaBus. The fares are affordable between $2.50 and $5.00 (CAD).
