Tissue harmonic imaging (THI) can get fine images, and by adopting pulse compression technique (PCT) to it, imaging with high signal-to-noise ratio can be realized. Preliminarily, we had proposed an inline transmitter/receiver system for THI and PCT for intravascular ultrasound imaging (IVUS), and examined the feasibility of the proposed system. In this system, a PZN-PT is used as a transmitter, and a PVDF file put on the PZN-PT is used as a receiver. In this study, we examined the suitable thickness of the PVDF film as not only a matching layer but also a receiver for harmonic component. |
