Welcome to San Diego

The 2010 IEEE International Ultrasonics Symposium (IUS) will be held in San Diego, California at the Town and Country Inn & Convention Center (T&CCC) from October 11-14, 2010. This will be the second time the IUS goes to San Diego. The 2010 IEEE IUS will bring together more closely the ultrasonics communities around the world with the ultrasonics industry in San Diego County to further the research and development of ultrasonics theories and applications. The 2010 IEEE IUS is expected to be another success in the history of this annual conference that started in the early 1960s and has grown to have more than 1000 attendees in recent years. San Diego is California’s second largest city, where blue skies keep watch on 70 miles of beaches and a gentle Mediterranean climate begs for a day of everything and nothing. Bordered by Mexico, the Pacific Ocean, the Anza-Borrego Desert and the Laguna Mountains, San Diego county’s 4,200 square miles offer immense options for business and pleasure. The Mexican city of Tijuana is just minutes from downtown, San Diego. Welcome to San Diego and welcome to the 2010 IEEE IUS.
