Steve Crowl is Assistant Professor and Director of the Masters of Science in Computer Information Systems at St. Edward's University in Austin, where he teaches graduate courses in computer networks, security and the capstone. Prior to St. Edwards, Steve led development for an Austin software start-up and was head of Information Technology for an e-commerce company. Previously, he was director of Sprint's web-hosting service, and Passport, its nationwide ISP, and one of the initiators of the MAGIC gigabit research network. Steve is a Senior Member of IEEE and program chair for the 2007 and 2008 Wireless Hive Networks Conference.
His education includes a Ph.D. and MS in Computer Science from University of Missouri-Kansas City, MSA. in Information Systems from George Washington University, and BS in Computer Science from the University of Kansas.
