Luke Maki is a Senior Network Designer at The Boeing Company. Among other duties, he chairs an enterprise-wide technical group that reviews and approves standards for network architecture, design, deployment, maintenance, and product selection. He is also the process focal point for the Network organization, which includes ensuring compliance with the U.S. Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOx).
An IEEE Senior Member, Luke is Immediate Past President of the Professional Communication Society (PCS), and now serves on the Board of Governors for the Technology Management Council (as representative from PCS). As a liaison from the PCS, he participates on the IEEE-USA Committee on Communications Policy (CCP), was Chair during 2003-2004, and was recognized for his contributions with the 2005 IEEE-USA Professional Achievement Award. He is also serving as Vice-Chair of the IEEE-USA Government Relations Committee.
