by @ 8:50 pm. Filed under ALL, Communications, Electronics Design, Semiconductors

Santa Clara University Graduate School of Engineering:
Emerging Topics in Engineering One-Day Program – March 26

Wireless Technology Series: Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM)
OFDM, found in wireless LANS, digital radio and TV, and digital subscriber lines, is the proposed modulation for the 3G cellular long-term evolution (3G-LTE) system — a ubiquitous modulation technique that engineers must understand for network architecture, VLSI design, test and measurement. Topics included: channel estimation, synchronization, bit-loading, multiple access, design and implementation, plus pros and cons. ? This short course is part of SCU’s Wireless Technology Series focusing on emerging topics in wireless technology development. The next Wireless Technology Series short course will be MIMO Technology in IEEE 802.11n Standard on May 29, 2009.
