Workshop: CSIX Recruiter-Led Resume Workshop

by @ 5:49 pm. Filed under ALL, Communications, Computers/Software, Electrical/Power, Electronics Design, NanoEngineering, Optics/Displays, Semiconductors

WEDNESDAY October 16, 2013
SCV PACE (Professional Activities Committee for Engineers)
Speaker: Tom Brouchoud, Global HR Staffing Manager for SanDisk, and others
Time: 3:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Cost: $5
Place: SEMI / SolarTech Building, 3081 Zanker Road, San Jose

In this three-hour workshop Tom Brouchoud, Global HR Staffing Manager for SanDisk and a team of top Bay Area recruiters will conduct a hands-on, practical resume instruction and review for attendees. The event will begin with a short teaching session. Attendees will participate in the personal resume critiques by these very experienced recruiters, who will provide candid feedback and coaching. The event will close with a short Q & A to clarify how resumes are being â??readâ? in the market today.
This event is all about the resume and how to create this very important document. The intent of the meeting is to provide honest, practical and direct feedback. What are you doing right, what are you doing wrong, and what you need to do to fix it.
Please bring at least 20 copies of your resume that you don’t mind others reviewing. Remember, this is about honest feedback and hands-on review. Advice given to one will be shared with all. If you are shy, still show up and listen to what is being said; active participation is encouraged but not required. (If you have attended this event before, please feel welcome to do so again, but please do not bring your resume for re-review.)
Whether youâ??ve sent out one resume or dozens, you always wonder â??what did the recruiters and hiring managers think of me?â?? Why did or didnâ??t I make the cut? How can I up my odds? Come find out!
