San Francisco State University Presents Workshop on Civic Technology and Smart Cities on June 8th, 2015, at Towers Conference Center, San Francisco State University 
This workshop is synchronized with the National Day of Civic Hacking.

The purpose of the Civic Technology (CivicTech) Workshop is to bring together civic leaders, and researchers, designers, and developers interested in the field of civic technologies and smart cities, Green Information and Technologies for Civic Engagement, Sustainability, Energy Aware Systems and Technologies. 
Advances in Information Technology present new opportunities for enhancing and building smart cities that better engage informed citizens, and utilize resources in a smarter and more sustainable manner. Developing useful technologies to solve urban problems requires understanding management and operational issues from the perspective of civic leaders, and leveraging a range of IT approaches to work toward solutions. 
Papers must be submitted by May 8th.
