In most cases, the tasks in a project are related to each other, and the relationships between them drive the schedule for the project.? The relationships between the tasks are called â??dependencies.???? Whether you manage a project, are part of a software development team, work on an assembly line or any other place where multiple, consecutive operations are necessary to create a product, you have to deal with consequences of the dependencies between operations.? When each of those operations is subject to normal, statistical variations in throughput, the dependencies really begin to matter.
If youâ??ve ever been unable to catch up once you fall behind, even a little, this presentation and interactive exercise can help to illustrate why that is, and what you can do about it.
The focus of this talk is on Project Management and is appropriate for all levels of project management knowledge from beginner to expert.? The techniques may also be applied to Line Management in an organization.
Before the meeting, Guided Networking on the subject of the attendee’s experience dealing with project and schedule slips and delays.? This allows us to get to know one another better, and sets the tone for the meeting after dinner talk.
