Blending Highly Efficient IEEE802.15.4e Low-Power Mesh Networks into the Internet: Thomas Watteyne from Dust Networks (Linear Technology) will highlight the challenges faced by wireless multi-hop networks, before showing how communication protocols and standards can address these. Thomas will cover use cases, examples and lessons learnt from open-source and commercial implementations. His talk will touch on several standards that target reliable operation of wireless multi-hop networks (WirelessHART, IEEE 802.15.4e, IETF RPL) and how they can integrate within the Internet (IETF 6LoWPAN, CoAP).

Reliable, Low Power Wireless Sensor Networks in Practice: Ross Yu, also from the Dust Networks product line from Linear Technology, will talk about how Time Slotted, Channel Hopping (TSCH) wireless networks have enabled mesh solutions to deliver unmatched reliability, low power and scalability.? He will highlight several end-user applications that were made practical with TSCH solutions.
