In 2012, China became the world’s largest trading nation, with the total value of that nation’s exports and imports at $3.87 trillion (US), surpassing those of the United States at $3.82 trillion (US).? Market Access always comes with the cost of regulatory approvals.? Most Western compliance professionals are very familiar with North American and European regulations, as that information is very accessible.? However, those that are contemplating obtaining approvals to access China market will face some distinct cultural obstacles, which require preparation.? In addition to issues of language, distance, and unfamiliar customs, laws and regulations will also confront any company embarking on this venture. The limited information available for non-natives who canĂ¢??t read or speak the local languages results in making the regulatory process even more complicated.
This presentation is intended not only to introduce the China certification system, but also to discuss the pitfalls and challenges foreign companies will face in their pursuit of China certifications.? The presentation will focus on the CCC Mark certifications, the new National (GB) Standards, and interpretation of the implementation rules.? Also, common mistakes that applicants for CCC mark certifications make during the process will be highlighted, bringing audience insights into the key aspects of CCC implementation rules, in order to navigate a successful CCC certification process.
