A No Cost Full-Day IEEE SCV EDS Symposium will be held at the Hotel Valencia in San Jose. This symposium is dedicated to discussing the emerging trends in Semiconductor Memories. Ten distinguished speakers who are currently working in different Memory Technology segments will address various aspects of the subject matter in their talks.

Some of the critical questions to be debated and answered during this special symposium are:

â?¢ How far will the floating gate architecture be pushed for NAND flash?

â?¢ Which Memory technology/technologies will be scalable well into the next decade?

â?¢ Which high-K/Metal gate will be used for charge trapping Flash?

A luncheon and a reception with hot food following the talks are included in this full-day symposium. Please invite your friends to attend this symposium and the reception following.

This symposium is co-sponsored by the local IEEE SCV EDS Chapter and by Applied Materials. The Symposium Chair is Dr. Philippe Jansen of IMEC, who is also the 2007 Chairman of the local IEEE SCV EDS Chapter. The Applied Materials co-sponsor is Dr. Reza Arghavani. Reza is a Fellow in the AMAT Thin Films Group.
Please mark your calendars – Speaker/Program details to follow. Email Philippe Jensen at jansenp@imec.be to hear more.
