IEEE Sections Congress 2008 Speaker Nomination Form

The Sections Congress 2008 Program Committee is now accepting nominations for session speakers. SC 2008 will be held 19 - 22 September 2008 at the Quebec City Convention Center in Quebec City, Canada. The theme of the event is "Celebrating Volunteer Achievements Worldwide". The three program tracks are: Membership; Section Management; and Section/Chapter Activities.

The SC08 Program Committee is trying to identify the best practices and get the people responsible for the event/program to speak at the Sections Congress.

Please Note:

Speakers should be aware that funds are not available within the Section Congress budget to pay for speakers' travel. Additionally, speakers will receive no monetary compensation for their participation. Unless the speaker is also a primary delegate, the speaker will also be responsible for their registration fee (which covers meals at the Congress).

Sponsors or funding support should also be identified at the time the speaker is nominated. If no funding support is immediately identifiable for a particular speaker, the nomination may still be submitted, as sponsorship may be identified at a later time.

The deadline for nomination is 1 November 2007. The SC08 Program Committee will review the nominations submitted and contact individuals as appropriate. It is expected that the speakers will be selected by 1 February 2008.
