WELCOME MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIR

Welcome to the IEEE PES Boston Chapter web site. Recently rejuvenated, we have over 350 members in and around the Boston area and an active Technical Meeting program. Some of the topics covered recently include Smart Grid, Cyber Security and Solar Weather. Please check our Archives page for past presentations and our Current Announcements page for details of our planned future meetings. We also offer courses in a number of topics such as Transformers. Several tours are organized through the year such as a visit to a recently constructed National Grid High Voltage Substation. Our Chapter can only be successful if our members participate, so I encourage you to attend our meetings and get involved in our activities.

All these events need volunteers to make them happen. We are always looking for new people to help out. If you would like to help us make our Chapter even more successful please contact me at my email below.

We also have an open invitation to anyone who would like give a talk at our Technical Meetings. If you are interested in giving a talk related to Power and Energy please contact me

Thanks,
Bryan J Gwyn
