Mission

WIE is dedicated to facilitating the development of programs and activities that promote the entry into and the retention of women in engineering programs, enhance the career advancement of women in the profession, and promote IEEE membership and retention of IEEE women members.

NY Section goals

Increase women engineers attendance at NY Section IEEE sponsored meetings and IEEE conferences.

Encourage women engineers to participate in IEEE governance.

Provide women engineers as speakers for active NY Section technical societies.

Co-sponsor programs for women in engineering with other professional societies in the NY area.
