Energy Efficient Electrical Apparatus & Systesms

Announcement

In the immediate past, fossil energy has been used with very little concern also about its efficient use - assuming it to be indefinite for a generation or two if not more. This squandering away of natural gift to mankind has to be limited.

There is strong movement towards renewable energy sources and towards energy conservation which forms an immediately viable part of this movement. This movement has twin objective - reduction in the damage to natural eco system which the fossil fuel cause & preservation of the precious fossil chemicals (& not fuels) for the posterity. One of the means to achieve these aims is by bringing in more efficiency in the electrical apparatus used in electrical power systems. With the rapid increase in use of energy in the electrical form, the extent and sizes of major electrical apparatus are undergoing a close scrutiny and continuos upward development by way of better material, better designs & more efficient applications.

A seminar is being jointly organized on "Energy Efficient Apparatus & Systems" by IEEE, IEE, IEI & student branches of IEEE in Pune & Nashik, at Pune in Feb 2003.

The seminar expects to highlight the above developement in prominent electrical apparatus.

Prominent Features :

  • Lectures by experts in fields
