The IEEE WIE Affinity Group of Calcutta
Section was formed on July 28, 2006 with Dr. Iti Saha
Misra as the interim Chair. After that on September
01, 2006 it was formally inaugurated by Prof. Salil
K. Sanyal, Chairman, IEEE Calcutta Section in a lively
inauguration ceremony. Subsequently the Executive
Committee was constituted in its Annual General Meeting
on January 18, 2007 with Dr.Iti Saha Misra as the
