IEEE ComSoc Calcutta Chapter : 2010 Activities : Brief Report
With the approval of IEEE RAB Committee, the IEEE ComSoc Calcutta Chapter (affiliated to the IEEE Calcutta Section) had been formed on Oct. 13, 2003 and the Chapter is fully active now.
The activities of the Chapter for the year 2010 is summarized below:

VI. Additional Info.:
(i) IEEE Communications Society (COMSOC) Calcutta Chapter from the Asia Pacific (AP) Region is one among the four COMSOC chapters which has been selected as a winner for 2010 Communications Society Chapter Achievement Award (CAA) by the COMSOC HQ. IEEE has approved the honorarium of (USD 1000) for each of the chapters which won the CAA. It may be noted that ComSoc Calcutta Chapter had won the CAA in the year 2005 and 2008 also. Further, the ComSoc Calcutta Chapter had won the Chapter of the Year (CoY) Award in 2008.
