Accomplishments of Section Members

Our hearties congratulations to our fellow Members who are honoured and accomplished this year:
	Prof. Sankar Pal, Fellow of IEEE and Former Director of Indian Statistical Institute has been bestowed with Padma Shri Award by Government of India this year. This is an extremely happy and proud moment for the Section. FELICITATION BY SECTION
	Dr. Sivaji Chakravorti, immediate past Chair of the section and Professor, Jadavpur University has been selected ‘Chapter Secretary’ of IEEE Power & Energy Society for 2013. Prof. Chakravorti has also been elected Fellow of National Academy of Sciences, India (FNASc).
	Dr. Chandan Kumar Sarkar, Chairman-Elect of the section and Professor of Jadavpur University, has been appointed a member of the Regions & Chapters Committee of IEEE Electron Devices Society for three year term commencing from January 2013.
	Dr. Gananath Dash, Professor, Sambalpur University has been appointed a Distinguished Lecturer of IEEE Electron Devices Society.
