On April 16, Peter W. Staecker, Vice President of IEEE, visited IEEE Chengdu Section with his colleague. Both sides exchanged views on the development status of IEEE and IEEE MTT-S.

Mr. Bin Jiang, Secretary of IEEE Chengdu Section, thanked Mr. Peter W. Staecker for his support to the development of the Chengdu Section of IEEE, and introduced overall information of the Chengdu Section, the MTT-S Chapter and the EDS student branch.

Mr. Peter W. Staecker introduced the recent development status of IEEE. He said, IEEE would offer further support to the development of the Chengdu Section.

Wu Ke, the coordinator of MTT-S China, introduced the trend of IEEE MTT-S, the recruitment of membership, the program of the Distinguished Lecturer Program and so on.

Both sides have communicated in depth on the issues such as the Workshop on Art of Miniaturizing RF and MW Passive Components, which is to be held in December this year and students’ membership application.
