Recently, Lina Ye, a postgraduate student (2008) from the School of Electronic Engineering of UESTC (headquarter of IEEE Chengdu Section), wins the Fall Undergraduate/Pre-Graduate Scholarships awarded by IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society (MTT-S). Every year, only ten students are awarded with this scholarship all over the world. Ye is one of the ten this time. She will attend the Microwave Association International Conference held by MTT-S with the scholarship as an admission.

Ye once won the Second-Class Public Scholarship and the National Scholarship for Encouragement. She was recommended, without taking the National College Entrance Exam, to the School of Electronic Engineering and majored in Electromagnetic Field and Microwave Technology under the direction of supervisor Tao Yang. Together with her excellent pre-stage performance, her applying program item titled “Broadband Active Balun MMIC” which gets a highly praise from the evaluation teachers wins her the award.
