For the year 2011, IEEE Gujarat Section will focus on membership drive, chapteractivities and student branch activities.

 In the membership drive, our goal is to have a total membership of 1000. This canbe accomplished by holding membership drives during all chapter and student branch activities. During membership drives, it is necessary highlightadvantages of IEEE membership regarding networking, opportunities for participation in conferences, workshops, technical talks and industrial visits.

 Regarding chapter activities, all chapters must be involved in organizing internationalor national conferences, Distinguished Lecture Programs (DLPs), workshops and technical talks. Gujarat section has 4 single society chapters and 2 joint chapters.

 Regarding student activities in the year 2011, we can have activities like Sampark and StudentPaper Contest. Also, student branches can have activities for career and personal skills development. Gujarat section has 13 student branches and it is expected that we have few more branched in the year 2011.

 I hope this year will be a very fruitful year forall activities in IEEE Gujarat Section.
