Welcome to the IEEE Karachi Section, one of the oldest IEEE Sections in Pakistan!

IEEE Karachi Section is one of the three IEEE Sections in Pakistan. It dates back to 1978 when the Karachi Sub-Section was formed on 22 May 1978, and was upgraded to the Karachi Section on 17 July 1982 with 76 members.

The IEEE is divided into ten geographic regions worldwide. Within those regions are 330 local Sections and 1,788 technical Chapters that unite local members with similar technical interests.

Members of the IEEE automatically become members of their local IEEE Section, allowing them to share technical, professional and personal interests with others in IEEE's worldwide member community.

IEEE Karachi Section lies under the IEEE Region 10 (R10), also sometimes referred as the Asia Pacific Region.
