Lieutenant General SP Sree Kumar, Param Vishisht Seva Medal, Ati Vishisht Seva Medal, Aide-de-Camp to the President of India is the Signal Officer-in-Chief of the Indian Army.  He heads a vast organization that provides modern state-of-the-art communication networks to the Indian Army troops in India and abroad. 

A fellow of Institute of Electronic and Telecom Engineers (IETE) and All India Management Association (AIMA),  he is on the Board of Directors of leading defence PSUs viz BEL, ECIL and ITI.  He has been invited to deliver  talk at many International Forums like  Asia Mobile Congress 2007 at Macau and Network Warfare Asia 2007 at Singapore, to name a few.  He steered the International level Defence Communication Conference DEFCOM with participation of friendly foreign countries for three consecutive years. He led the Ministry of Defence delegation to Plenipotentiary Conference 2006 organised by (ITU) at Antalya, Turkey.

 As  Signal Officer-in-Chief of Indian Army, he commands a workforce of nearly 1,00,000 senior and middle management officers & men and controls over  300 technical, administration, judicial and financial establishments spread all over the country. He steered a nationwide Army WAN which was inaugurated by Honourable President of India. He was instrumental in recognisation of CERT Army as a reckonable organization in the country.

He has achieved with Distinction, the degrees of Bachelor of Technology in Communications, Master of Sciences in Defence Studies, Master of Business Administration in Operational Research and is a Master of Philosophy.  An Electronic Warfare Specialist, he has varied experience in the fields of Cyber Security, Electromagnetic Induction/Compatibility and Spectrum Management.

A keen sportsman, the General Officer evinces keen interest in Photography and has a passion for Trekking, Golf and Tennis.
