Welcome to the IEEE South Australia (SA) Section website. IEEE is a world-wide professional, technical and standardisation organisation covering the broad field of electrical and electronic engineering. The SA Section represents all IEEE members within the state of South Australia, which normally is between 400 and 500 members.
The Section is overseen by an Executive and Section Committee, and comprises specialist Chapters with in the areas of: Communications and Signal Processing; Computing; Control, Aerospace and Electronic Systems; Information Theory; Antennas and Propagation and Microwave Theory and Techniques; and Power and Energy. The Section also has three Affinity Groups - Young Professionals (YP), Women-in-Engineering (WIE), and Life Members Affinity Group (LMAG), as well as Student Branches at each of the three universities in South Australia.
We encourage you to peruse this site using the menu on the left. You can find out what activities are being held within SA, the awards and other benefits available to members, and the people involved in the Section.
