Policies and Procedures

The IEEE SA Section operates under the policies and procedures of IEEE, and has its own bylaws. Here you can find links to policies and procedures relevant to the operation of the Section, as well as information that can assist in organising activities within the Section.

Conferences

If you are bidding for or organising a conference or workshop and want the support of the IEEE SA Section, then you should contact the Executive Committee (south.australia@ieee.org). Eventually you will need to submit a formal proposal, including detailed budget, for support. In order to do so, make sure you are aware of the levels of support available. Also, the IEEE web site contains a lot of information about organising conferences, including a Conferences Organisation Manual and Conference Policies.

Promoting Local Activities

When appropriate, the IEEE SA Section is happy to promote activities held in South Australia and Australia that are relevant to our members. This includes non-IEEE events. This will normally be done via the IEEE SA Newsletter, and through the Events page on the website. If you want an activity advertised, please contact south.australia@ieee.org.
