IEEE TMC Singapore Chapter Best Student Paper Award - Announcement of Awards for 2009/2010

The TMC Singapore Chapter Best Student Paper Award honors student(s), who have authored a paper of exceptional merit dealing with a subject related to Technology Management Council's technical scope, and the paper has appeared in a good journal, preferably in one of the IEEE Transactions.

Only students registered with a Singapore Institute of Higher Learning at the time the paper was accepted for publication are eligible for the award. The prize is SGD1000 per paper and a certificate. Judging is on the basis of general quality, originality, relevance, and timeliness.3 (three) Best Papers have been awarded for the Year 2009-2010.

The Awarded papers are (in no particular order)

1. Optimal Overlapping and Functional Interaction in Product Development (First author/student: Jun Lin), published in European Journal of Operational Research, Vol. 196, No 3, pp. 1158-1169.

2. Supply Chain Configuration with co-ordinated product, process and logistics decisions: An approach based on Petri Nets (First author/student: Lianfeng Zhang), published in International Journal of Production Research, Vol. 47, No. 23, pp. 6681-6706.

3. A study of project selection and feature weighting for anology based software cost estimation, (First author/student: Yanfu Li), published in The Journal of Systems and Software, Vol. 82, pp 241-252.

The Main Student Author of the above papers must contact the IEEE TMC Singapore Chapter Chair by emailing to tmc.award@gmail.com to claim the award. The Chapter has also commenced accepting papers for the January - December 2010 award period. Nominations will be accepted until 1st August 2011.
