SEMINAR : "Profit from Technology Boom and Bust"
HOSTED BY : IEEE EMS

Orchard Road 2nd Level
(Opposite Mandarin Hotel, above Jack's

DATE : 13 April, Saturday
TIME : 10:30 to 12:00
Synopsis
The technology boom of the late 1990s made many people rich. When the boom
turned into bust since 2000 many became much poorer. However, it needs not
to be so. Profits can be made in both the boom and bust cycles. To do so
one should have some basic understanding and feel for the industries of
interest. On top of that one should be ambidextrous in deploying a range of
financial instruments that will make money in the boom as well as bust
cycles. In this seminar, the practical aspects of such financial
instruments will be discussed. Examples from the NASDAQ and NYSE stock
markets will be used for illustration.
Speaker
Professor Bobby Srinivasan,Nanyang Business School. Bobby has been teaching
and researching finance for decades in Canada and Singapore. He has also
been consultant and advisor to many clients in Singapore and
