Results

The performance of each entry is ranked on each of the 30 problems. The following table shows median and mean rankings for each entry, as well as the number of 1sts, 2nds, 3rds, etc.

The following chart shows the frequencies of each placing (1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc). 

To check the repeatability of the results (to what degree they are random) the results were repeated for two other series of 30 problem instances (again with 10 from each function type). The following table summarises the results. It can be seen that they are in fact extremely consistent. 

Finally, the following plots show the placings brake-down for the three trials. It can be seen that the consistency extends well to placings other than 1st (that is, the shape of the curves is quite similar).
