Ohio Optics Consortium and Miami Valley IEEE/LEOS Chapter Present:

LEOS DECEMBER 2002 MEETING

The Ohio Optics Consortium (OOC) is a network of optical professionals that is focused on forging new partnerships and fostering professional development to expand optical technology in Ohio.

Dr. Milton Chang

Milton Chang is a true optics industry insider and entrepreneur. He has actively incubated sixteen companies without experiencing a single failure. Notable public companies in that list are Newport, Uniphase, Gadzoox Networks, Iridex, and New Focus. Other well-known names include Agility Communications, Arcturus Engineering, and OMM. He is Chairman of Arcturus Engineering and OEpic and also sits on the boards of Lightwave Electronics, OpVista, and YesVideo. He was a founder of New Focus and has retired as its Chairman. He is active in the Laser/optics/photonics community and has received a number of prestigious awards from professional societies. He is a Fellow of OSA, and President of IEEE/LEOS. He shares his experience freely and writes monthly business columns for Laser Focus World and Photonics Spectra.

All professionals and students that have an interest in the field of optics are encouraged to attend this meeting of this newly formed consortium.

Admission (includes hors d’oeuvres):
Professionals: $10 for pre-registration; $15 at the door Students: $5
