Chairman's Message
- Seeking a way to make your profession have meaning beyond the 9-to-5 world?
- Wanting a new, better world for the next generation?
- Knowing your career choice was one of the best decisions you made?
Then, you are in good company with the other members of IEEE. IEEE members prize their careers and value the opportunities the career affords them. Volunteers to the organization dedicate their time and talents to offering various services to the membership to complement the value of the career.
Here in Erie, a group of volunteers staff the local section: identifying periodic technical events staffs and tours, arranging social gatherings, managing the section’s financial status, providing professional development conferences, and supporting local efforts to enhance and to promote technical career choices and skills in all age groups.
How can you participate in your local section?
- If you have suggestions for tours, contact the Program Chair.
- If you have ideas for talks, contact the Program Chair.
- If you are involved with educational efforts promoting careers or skills of the IEEE professions, contact the Vice-Chair.
- If you want a professional topic presented, contact the Vice-Chair.
- If you have any recommendation to offer about the local section, contact any one of us on the Executive Board.
Our emails are available through the Officers link on the left panel.
Further, if you want to be directly involved in the management and future direction of the section, come to an Executive Board meeting and volunteer with our efforts.
We welcome and value your ideas, support, and interest.
