As you may have heard, Dr. Gordon Moore was honored with the IEEE Medal of Honor at the Sections Congress in 2008. IEEE.tv now has a video available to the general public highlighting this event, and it's recommended viewing. |

We had a meeting of the officers on Tuesday, September 29, 2008. We met at the South Side Saloon in Johnstown and discussed the Sections Congress 2008 trip, where we're going as a section, and how to improve service to you, the member. Here are some of the highlights: - We're thinking about having a social event once every three to four months. It would just be a meeting with no agenda or presentation, aside from a basic introduction and thanking everyone for coming out.
- Future executive meetings will be open to the public. If you want to see what we discuss, or just play a more active role in the organization, come on out and participate!
