Dear IEEE Members,
In commemoration of Mahatma Gandhi's birthday on October 2009, IEEE GOLD is pleased to announce a special webinar, "Gandhian Engineering," presented by the renowned Dr. R.A. Mashelkar.
As President of Global Research Alliance, a network of publicly funded R&D institues from Asia-Pacific, Africa, Europe, and USA with over 60,000 scientists, and as Chairman of India's National Innovation Institute, Dr. R.A. Mashelkar has played a critical role in shaping India's science and technology poloicies.
Please join us to hear Dr. Mashelkar's perspective on Gandhian Engineering, describing how to get more from less for more and more people of the world. This style of engineering stems from the application of a combination of Mahatma Gandhi's ideologies of the earth providing enough to satisfy the needs of men, rather than the greed of men and prizing every invention of science that benefits all of humanity.
