Society on Social Implications of Technology

 

The Pittsburgh Section formed a local chapter of the IEEE’s Society on Social Implications of Technology.  The Scope of the society includes such issues as environmental, health and safety implications of technology;  engineering ethics and professional responsibility;  history of electro-technology;  technical expertise and public policy;  and social issues related to energy, information technology and telecommunications.   Contact Joe Kalasky at (724) 838-6492 or j.kalasky@ieee.org for more information.  If you would like to join SSIT, type the link       www.ieeessit.org  and join on-line.
