Abstract: Commercial nuclear power has always been a controversial topic in the media, especially since Three Mile Island and Chernobyl. Over the last several decades, changes throughout the industry have provided advancements in safety and operating efficiencies, making nuclear power a safe, economically viable and sound option for our energy future. The purpose of this presentation is to lay out the facts in a reasonable manner that shows a clear-cut case for expansion of nuclear power plants in the US. |
