Management of Traffic Flow - Presented by Dr. Tanya Yuditsky

Traffic Flow Management is an area that brings many challenges to system design. Successful strategic operations depend on effective collaboration and information sharing among all the various players - the facilities, the Command Center, and the airlines. This requirement exerts its impact on operational needs, system requirements, and system design. I will provide a brief background on Traffic Flow Management and describe an example (or two) of how the development of technologies has been impacted by its unique (to the FAA) requirements.

Configuration Management - Presented by Theresa Basquez

Configuration Management is a method to identify, and control the identification of, items that may or will change. It is a greatly misunderstood discipline, and though everybody has an idea of what CM is, explaining it exactly can be a challenge to someone who is not directly involved with the challenges that arise. This presentation will explain the basic principles of CM and the benefits CM provides to both projects and products.
