IEEE NoVA Chapter


ABSTRACT

The Northern Virginia/Washington chapter of the IEEE Computer Society is hosting its first annual Birds of a Feather Dinner at Clydes in the Reston Town Center.

When: Thursday, December 18, 1997, 5:30 - 7:30 pm

RSVP: via the Meeting RSVP Form no later than Tuesday, December 16.

Purpose: to bring together local IEEE CS members in a social and professional networking environment.

Cost: there will be no charge for this month for attending, although all attendees will be responsible for their own food and drink bill.


BIOGRAPHY

Mr. Hassett is an attorney with WMCD whose practice is in Intellectual Property and Y2K litigation. Mr. Hassett also advises regional start-ups on the legal issues that must be navigated to reduce legal liability. He will be on hand to answer questions related to legal issues in start-up ventures, Y2K litigation, and software liability. Mr. Hassett presented at the IEEE CS in October, 1997. If you missed him then, you'll want to meet him now.

Mr. Statter is a Director in Arthur Andersen's Corporate Finance Group and has extensive experience in mergers, acquisitions, and capital raising. Mr. Statter will be giving a talk to the IEEE CS chapter in February, 1998 on entrepreneurial financing---how to raise capital for new ventures. He will be on-hand to answer questions related to this topic on Thursday.
