Recent Activities

The IEEE WV Section met on October 29, 5:300 PM at Charleston Fifth Quarter Restaurant. The meeting was be followed by Technical Presentation by Dr. Kourosh Sedghisigarchi on "Fuel Cells as Future Distributed Generators". (Agenda for October 29, 2009 Meeting)
Dr. Mark Stecker, (IEEE WV Section Vice Chair) has organized "Telescope Tour" - a trip to the National Radio Astronomy Observatory in Green Bank, West Virginia on August 17, 2009. The visit included the Robert C. Byrd Green Bank Telescope. See pictures and more details.

Joint technical meeting of the IEEE West Virginia Section and the International Society of Automation (ISA) Charleston, West Virginia Section on Jan. 8, 2009 at the Wellington's/Scarlet Oaks Country Club restaurant. At the event Bruce McClung, an IEEE Life Fellow, gave a presentation on An Electrical Safety Program for Employees.
