• The IEEE WV Section met on Wednesday December 16th 2009 at 5:45 pm at Fifth Quarter Restaurant in Charleston, WV. (Agenda for the December 16, 2009 Meeting).
• Elections have concluded. Meet the section officers for 2010.
• The IEEE WV Section met on October 29, 5:30 PM at Charleston Fifth Quarter Restaurant. The meeting was be followed by Technical Presentation by Dr. Kourosh Sedghisigarchi on "Fuel Cells as Future Distributed Generators". (Agenda for the October 29, 2009 Meeting)
• Dr. Mark Stecker, (IEEE WV Section Vice Chair) has organized "Telescope Tour" - a trip to the National Radio Astronomy Observatory in Green Bank, West Virginia on August 17, 2009. The visit included the Robert C. Byrd Green Bank Telescope. See pictures and more details.
• IEEE WV Section meeting, Wednesday July 15, at 5:300 PM , Fifth Quarter Restaurant. There will be Section meeting was followed by guest speaker Dr. Parviz Famouri and dinner. Dr. Parviz Famouri gave a presentation on IEEE Membership Its Mission, Its Benefits, The Organization and IEEE Section Management Orientation

• Joint technical meeting of the IEEE West Virginia Section and the International Society of Automation (ISA) Charleston, West Virginia Section on Jan. 8, 2009 at the Wellington's/Scarlet Oaks Country Club restaurant. At the event Bruce McClung, an IEEE Life Fellow, gave a presentation on An Electrical Safety Program for Employees.
