This presentation is provided using the information gathered during, and following, the installation of a 1.44 KW Photovoltaic System in the Charleston, WV area. During the presentation, we gain knowledge and understanding regarding the installation process and associated hardware for a complete system. This includes everything from the photovoltaic cells to the batteries being charged during sunlight harvesting.....and everything in between. |

This presentation provides a basic understanding of how Biodiesel fuel is made and how it makes the journey from the refinery to our vehicles. Understanding this process, and the pitfalls within, will help us as Engineers, Programmers and Designers to design systems which will facilitate its use and to do our part to help our planet. |

The presentation focuses on helping attendees understand the basic fundamentals of torque and HP limitations when applying Adjustable Speed Drives (also known as Variable Speed Drives). The presenter uses a real life project as an example for applying the fundamentals. The presentation also demonstrates the need for the practicing engineer to never quit asking questions as the attendees will find how the presented real life project nearly became an engineering embarrassment. |
