IEEE Charlotte Section Archives

The IEEE Charlotte Section traces its historical roots back to 1929.  In 1979, the IEEE Charlotte Section published a booklet celebrating 50 years of history since the organization of the North Carolina Section of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers (AIEE) in Charlotte, NC, on March 22, 1929.  The AIEE was formed on May 13, 1884 in New York city, and in 1963 the AIEE merged with the Institute of Radio Engineers (IRE) to form the IEEE. The fiftieth anniversary booklet and other historical archives of the IEEE Charlotte Section can be found  below.
