On Thursday March 26th, a "Fun Night with the Old Professor" will be presented at the Halifax River Yacht Club.  The guest speaker will be Dr. Al Helfrick, Professor Emeritus at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Professor Al indicated that he has no idea what He will be talking about.  But it will be worth the energy to attend.  When you do, would  you please let him know what he talked about, just in case someone else asks?

Our speaker 
for the meeting will be Dr. Al Helfrick Professor Emeritus at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. He started his career in radiation hardening of military systems, then after a stint in the military (including a tour of duty in Vietnam), continued in the fields of cable television, test and measurement, avionics and finally as an independent consultant.  Dr. Helfrick joined ERAU in 1991 and retired in 2015 after serving as both a professor and department chairman.  He is still active in academia, continues to publish and present papers at conferences, and occasionally regales audiences with reminiscences from his career.

- Sauteed Tenderloin tips with mushrooms, shallots, white wine, Dijon mustard,
demi-glace and cream, served over bowtie pasta

Pesto Style Chicken - Chicken Breast pan seared. Served with a creamy pesto sauce, toasted
pine  nuts and parmesan cheese, served with rice pilaf and vegetable medley

Flounder Almandine - Sauteed flounder, brown butter, lemon and almonds served with rice
pilaf and vegetable medley

The Yacht Club is requiring us to give them a dinner count by the Tuesday afternoon before
our meeting.  As always, all members and guests are welcome to attend the meeting and
presentations, however any dinner requests received after Tuesday afternoon may not be accepted.

Dinner selection's must be in by Tuesday January 24th  at noon
