Dr. Budhendra Bhaduri is the leader of the Geographic Information Science & Technology (GIST) group of the Computational Sciences and Engineering Division at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory.
Dr. Budhendra Bhaduri highlighted the potential for GIScience and Technology in addressing challenges for the critical mission areas for the Department of Energy, namely climate change and energy security. He also illustrated the key role necessary from the DOE Information Technology community for ensuring success in scientific advancements.
