Dec. 2010 Life Member Newsletter

Why Establish a Life Affinity Group

An IEEE Life Members Affinity Group is a local Unit of an IEEE Organizational Unit, constituted by IEEE members who have obtained Life Member status and established by petition, and concerned to represent and fulfill the needs of the local IEEE Life Members. A Life Members Affinity Group functions in a manner similar to that of a Committee of the Section.

Life Members Groups:

  • enable Life Members to retain active IEEE associations
  • contribute to the social good in their communities
  • advance the professional interests of IEEE
  • allow members to enjoy each other's company.

Suggested Group Activities:

  • school presentations, mentoring, projects, robotics team coaching
  • community outreach
  • volunteer for Tennessee Science Bowl and Southern Appalachian Sciene and Engineering Fair
  • social gatherings
  • dinner meetings

View the most recentLife Member newletter in the left column. If you would like to learn more about this group, please complete the following questionnaire. A dinner meeting will be organized to discuss potential activites if there is enough interest.
